The interpreter translates from and into the foreign language speeches by people discussing or negotiating face-to-face, over the phone or remotely in informal situations.

WHAT IS OVER-THE-PHONE LIAISON INTERPRETING?

Liaison interpreting can also take place OVER THE PHONE, using sophisticated call center technology.
It happens when participants in a meeting do not speak the same language and a person who is not in the room calls in to speak via telephone.

WHAT IS VIDEO REMOTE LIAISON INTERPRETING?

Another liaison interpreting mode is VIDEO REMOTE INTERPRETING, which happens when participants are in different rooms and communicate via some web-based video technology.
